Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) Review: Stepping Up to a Bigger Game

Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) Review: Stepping Up to a Bigger Game

Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) Review: Stepping Up to a Bigger Game

Motorola chose its market segments very wisely when plotting its comeba ck strategy, and now just over a year after the original Moto X made a fantastic impression on the world, the new Moto X (Gen 2) is trying to build on that momentum to take things to a new level. The Gen 2 model is not a direct replacement of its predecessor - it's far more expensive and has higher aspirations.
This isMotorola'spush to cement itself as a competitor to the biggest names in the business. TheMoto X (Gen 2)checks off nearly all the major boxes in terms of features, materials and specifications - and there's a little bit of special sauce in there as well. Let's take a closer look.

Much anticipated Yamaha R25 coming to India in 2015 quarter

Much anticipated Yamaha R25 coming to India in 2015 quarter

As the 250cc category is getting really powerful, here comes the next member to the family the Yamaha R25.Yamaha Motor reported that they are planning to launch R25 in India by 2015 quarter and may be it will be exported from Yamaha plant in Indonesia, but its not officially confirmed yet.

Yamaha R25, was launched in Indonesia on 20 May 2014, with a price tag of 53 Million Indonesian Rupiah (roughly ₹2.70 lakhs), we have got a report that many Indian motorcycle enthusiasts have tried to import the R25 form Indonesia before its launch in India and that shows how much Indians need R25.

Coming to technical specifications the R25comes loaded with a 250 cc liquid-cooled, in-line, four-stroke, two-cylinder engine with a powerful 36 bhp output, @12,000 rpm and a peak torque of 22.1 Nm @10,000 rpm. Built on Tubular Diamond chassis, latest in the R-series line up comes with Telescopic suspension at the front and monocross suspension at the rear. It measures 2,090 mm in length, 720 mm in width, 1,135 mm in height and has a seat height of 780 mm.

Having awheelbase of 1,380 mm, the bike weighs 166 kgs and has a fuel tank capacity of 14.3 liters. It comes with the features like fuel consumption indicator, oil change indicator, trip and odo-meter and engine temperature warning. It will be available in three colors - Racing Blue, Predator Black and Diablo Red.

But we also have a rumor that the R25 to be launched in India will be a single cylinder 250 cc motor, rather than the two cylinder Indonesian, which would make the bike affordable for the Indian two-wheelerconnoisseur.

Yamaha R25 Rivals are Hyosung GT250R ,Kawasaki Ninja 250 Mono and Honda CBR250R.

Again another news is that the R25 will not belaunchedin Indiabecause of the fact that the Yamaha R25 is slightly under powered to the KawasakiNinja 300 and CBR 300R from Honda. which is to be launched soon in India, and launching a 250cc motorcycle this late would be a bad decision.

So here comes the picture of another big boy the R3, yes the 320cc Yamaha motorcycle, rumored to have a 320cc three cylinder cross plane crankshaft heart, still no official confirmation.

But even the Indian motorcycle maker Bajaj have already unveiledPulsar400 SS & CS in Delhi motor-expo is also a much awaited motorcycle.

The expected price of Yamaha R25 is around2.25lakhs (Ex-Showroom).

Review: New Mahindra Scorpio SUV at Rs 7.98 lakh launched

Review: New Mahindra Scorpio SUV at Rs 7.98 lakh launched

Mahindra SUV Series

Mahindra Scorpio SUV Car ModelOn the off chance that we had one real issue with the current (now, more seasoned) version of the Mahindra Scorpio, it was the way it took care of bumps at speed. It made us feel like we were taking a ride on a trampoline when we hit a bump on the highway. One may contend that the car should be to a greater extent a bad-road specia list, and not a speed demon. Thus, do things change with the all-new Scorpio?

The Scorpio you see here is the new, third generation of Mahindra's popular SUV. It's based on an all-new platform that is made up of stronger composite materials, which, as we're told, makes the Scorpio a safer spot to be in, on account of the recently consolidated fold zones. This new undercarriage will additionally structure the premise for Mahindra's approaching vehicles. Mahindra lets us know that the new platform can without much of a stretch be adjusted to make a sub-four meter car (Quanto substitution, anybody?), without trading off on structural honesty. Everything in and about the Scorpio is all-new.

There's huge amounts of "Scorpio" badging everywhere throughout the SUV. Outside, the Scorpio seems to have obtained a few signs from its greater cousin, the Xuv500 – like the grille that appears as though its been scratched by an enormous feline, an exceptionally XU V-like front bumper, the greater, bolder wheel arches and the great tail-lamps. The face wears an exceptionally European look, while the sides appear to be identical. The rear, as well, flashes off another, two-tone appliqué, which has an exceptionally secondary selling look to it.

The new Scorpio is offered with 2wd and 4wd – with an on-the-fly-shift low-ratio case on the latter – and in six separate variations - S2, S4, S6, S6+, S8 and S10. The highest point of-the-line S10 variation we're driving here comes loaded with all the goodies from Mahindra's pack of treats – like LED eyebrows on the double projector lamps, a hood scoop and some chrome bits sprinkled in advance, start stop tech, ABS, tire pressure sensors, and so on. Inside the S10, you get stuff like double front airbags, a straightforward touch-controlled six-inch infotainment framework with navigation, climate control with rear AC vents, double tone seats and silver and chrome inserts.

The new Scorpio is ergonomically very sound with all the operational gear well in scope. The new, blue-lit, part-computerized part-simple presentation looks exceptionally decent and gives speed, odo, fuel level, engine temperature, trek (trip) and gear indication readouts.

Anyway there are a few blemishes in the new Scorpio. When the driver's side entryway is shut, its almost difficult to slide your hand down and work the seat-height adjuster. Additionally, the quality of the small door locks is flawed, on the grounds that they have a feeling that they'll break on the off chance that you don't utilize them delicately.

mahindra scorpio launched
The New Scorpio obtains the five-speed gearbox from the as of late overhauled Xylo, with minor progressions to the last drive ratio. The guiding (steering) wheel has been lifted from the Xuv500, alongside some interior bits like the chrome-lined AC vents. Generally speaking, fit and complete inside the new SUV is most likely a venture up from the versions that preceded it, making the cabin a pleasant spot to be in. It's as breezy as it used to be, yet this present one's livelier, because of the lighter shade of plastic present inside. We didn't get an opportunity to drive the 4wd version, so we decided to adhere to the road in this 2wd variation. The double wishbone suspension setup is completely new, with Independent coil springs at the front, and a multi-link coil spring utilized at the back. Ride quality stays pretty much the sam e at low speed, with the suspension splashing up bumps well. At high speeds, the SUV now feels somewhat more steady than some time before, with less pitching under heavy braking. The huge distinction with the new Scorpio is the incorporation of an anti-roll bar with bump steps at the rear, which makes cornering hard somewhat more agreeable. The new alloy wheels are an inch bigger than the previous car's 16-inchers, which helps over rough patches. It's not the first occasion when we've seen the 2,179cc turbo-diesel do duty in a Mahindra vehicle, and the 120bhp, 280nm four-pot benefits an occupation of moving the new Scorpio. The base S2 variation gets 15-inch wheels and the 2.5l m2dicr regular rail diesel engine under the hood, which is useful for 75bhp and 200nm.

The height and wheelbase of the new Scorpio are precisely the same as that of the outgoing model, however this new one's barely more and more extensive. Indeed with the new chassis, the gross weight of t he 2wd and 4wd Scorpios stays unaltered at 2,510 and 2,610kg individually. On the other hand, Mahindra says that the fuel proficiency of the new SUV has gone up by about one kilometer for every liter, from the long ago guaranteed 14.7kpl.

For those of us who had gotten used to the design of the Scorpio, the new car resembles to the current car however with some more blaze to it. It's experienced a modernisation change and feels more certain on account of the new body. The steering feels more pleasant and the ride has made strides. In spite of the fact that it doesn't feel like a generation change, it is a step up from the current scorpio.

The launch wi ll come bang in the middle of festive season, and is a departure from Apple's earlier India strategy, when the new versions of their iPhones were made available around November. Apple plans to make the new smartphones available in 115 countries by the end of this year.

iPhone 6

The smaller of the two new iPhone 6 models has a 4.7-inch display, which is still notably bigger than 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 and 5S that preceded it. It has a new design that echoes the design of the iPad Air and iPad mini, with rounded sides. Th e glass front curves around the sides of the phone and Apple says the new screen has Retina HD resolution, with 1334 x 750 pixels providing 326 pixels per inch and a wider angle of view. The glass on the new display is "ion strengthened," which doesn't sound like it is sapphire, as rumored. The iPhone 6 measures 6.9mm thick, making it the thinnest device Apple has ever made.

Inside, the iPhone 6 has a new A8 processor, which is 25 percent faster than the A7 that preceded it. It also has a 50 percent faster graphics chip. The iPhone 6 supports LTE advanced, with speeds up to 150Mbps (for US Version)

The camera in the iPhone 6 maintains the 8 megapixel resolution. Apple says it uses an all-new sensor with even larger pixels than before. It's paired with an f/2.2 aperture lens and dual-LED flash, like the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 6 uses digital image stabilization, though its larger sibling, the iPhone 6 Plus, has optical stabilization. It's said to be twice as fast as the iPhone 5S when it comes to autofocus. Face detection is said to be faster and blink and smile detection is improved. The front-facing camera has a new sensor and brighter f/2.2 aperture. Apple says it lets in 81 percent more light than before.

Apple says the iPhone 6 will offer 14 hours of tal k time, a 40 percent increase over the iPhone 5S. But web browsing time over 3G and LTE is still rated at 10 hours, and video playback time is 11 hours, only one hour longer than the 5S.

iPhone 6 Plus

The star of the show here is the spacious 5.5-inch 1080p Retina HD display riding up front -- to hear Apple's Phil Schiller tell it, it's sRGB-accurate, has an ultrathin backlight, photo-aligned IPS liquid crystals, an improved polarizer and ion-strengthened glass. More importantly (and at long last!), the screen runs at 1080p.5.5-inch iPhone 6 plus with Retina HD LCD LED-backlit display with 1920 x 1080 resolution (401ppi) with ion-strengthened glass and 88 percent more pixels than iPhone 5s

It is powered by 4-bit 20-nanometer Apple A8 processor (20 percent faster CPU, 50 percent faster graphics) Second-generation M8 motion coprocessor with 16/64/128GB of storage. Apple iPhone 6 Plus is built using the 20nm manufacturing process. Thanks to this it's more power efficient, while still offering 25% more CPU power and 50% GPU boost.

At the back, the iPhone 6 Plus uses a 8MP iSight camera with a True Tone dual LED flash. The pixel size is the same as on the iPhone 5s at 1.5μ and the aperture is unchanged at f/2. 2. However the iPhone 6 Plus has an optical image stabilization - a first for the company. There's also phase-detection autofocus that should improve focusing speed twice. It is enabled by the A8 chip, which also includes powerful image signal processor designed by Apple. The front-facing camera has been updated with new 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera with a sensor that's even greedier for photons, perfect for all

Further on, the iPhone 6 Plus packs NFC, another first for the company. Thanks to it, you'll be able to make payments by using Apple Pay - Apple's own NFC payment system.
